On Friday August 12, 2022, new Industrial Cutting Equipment was delivered from Eastman Machine Company located in Buffalo, NY. This new technology will help us expand our Sewing Department by adding capabilities that will allow us to increase production, introduce new products , and hire new employees.
Along with other products, our Sewing Department produces uniforms for the United States Air Force and the United States Coast Guard right here on our main campus! Many of our employees are blind, visually impaired, or have other barriers to employment.
Getting the new sewing equipment into the building was no easy feat! While smaller pieces were carried into the sewing area, the largest and heaviest pieces had to be brought in by crane! Stay tuned - there is more to come from Goodwill!
